As a chiropractor I believe in natural health. The longer we can stay away from synthetic medicine, the healthier you will be. I believe with natural ingredients, most of which you probably have in your kitchen currently, it is easy to combine in many ways to promote natuaral healing,

✅ Current Ingredients for the Health Elixir & Their Roles
Garlic – antimicrobial, cardiovascular support, immune booster.
Ginger – anti-inflammatory, good for digestion, circulation, nausea.
Cucumber – hydration, mild detox effect, cooling.
Black Pepper – enhances absorption of turmeric (curcumin), stimulates digestion.
Turmeric – powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant.
Cinnamon – helps regulate blood sugar, circulation, metabolism.
Lemon – vitamin C, alkalizing, liver support.
Himalayan Salt – trace minerals, electrolyte balance
Cayenne Pepper- anti-inflammatory, circulation booster, metabolism and digestion booster, pain relief and heart health
Some ingredients (garlic, ginger, turmeric) lose potency when boiled too long.
· Others (cinnamon, black pepper, salt) extract well with heat.
· Lemon and cucumber are best added after cooling to preserve vitamin C and freshness.
Suggested Method for preparing the health elixir
1. Base decoction (boil for 15–20 min):
o Ginger (2–3 cm chunk, sliced)
o Turmeric (1–2 cm fresh root or ½ tsp powder)
o Cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp powder)
o 3–4 black peppercorns (lightly crushed)
2. Add after cooling slightly (~40–50°C, not boiling):
o Garlic (1–2 raw crushed cloves, steep for 5 min, then strain if too strong)
o Lemon juice (½ to 1 lemon)
o Himalayan salt (a pinch, not too much)
o Cucumber slices (optional, for cooling effect and flavor)
This way, you protect delicate compounds and maximize synergy.
🥤 How to Take the Health Elixir
· 1 glass (200–250 ml) per day is plenty.
· You don’t need to drink the whole litre daily — store it in the fridge, consume within 2–3 days.
⚠️ Is it “too much”?
· Not dangerous for most people, but too many strong spices (garlic, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon) daily may cause stomach irritation, reflux, or thinning of blood (especially if on aspirin, warfarin, or other anticoagulants).
· For long-term daily use, rotate or balance ingredients rather than cramming everything in one brew.
